Start with the slow meaningful song you want for the dance. Have the song interrupted with a DJ scratch effect. Then the fun songs begin to entertain your crowd. Finally, do a rewind DJ sound effect and end the song with the ending of the first song.
End the Song with a Sharp Ending
Start with the slow song of your choice. Chose some fun dance songs. Then end it with something sharp. For example, an explosion sound effect at the end of Bye Bye Bye by NYSNC. This will allow you to do an ending pose when the song ends. Hold that pose for crowd applause and pictures!
Use Line Dance and Participation Dance Songs
Using some line dance songs will make the choreography for your dance easier. Chose line dance songs you and your dance partner knows. You can also choose really easy participation songs like YMCA or the Chicken Dance. Those can be humorous and entertaining.
Chose Something Old and Something New
If you are dancing with your dad or mom, you might want to choose one of their old time favorite dance songs. Then something new that may represent one of your favorites. It will be funny to see your dad or mom dancing to something new. Vice Versa.
Have Family Members Join In
